I’m a lover of light and emotions, travelling to new and exciting places, watching the sunrise from my deck with a strong coffee in hand and sharing a laugh and a glass of wine with good friends at the end of the week. And I’m absolutely passionate about wedding photography and lifestyle photography!
Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, I came down to New Zealand 16 years ago after having spent a few years travelling to some pretty amazing countries. I met my Kiwi husband in London and followed him down here “for a year or so”, but instead of heading back to London as originally planned, we decided to make Auckland home. After a few years in the city we now live on a cool little rural property just outside Helensville with our three awesome kids and a few pets, and I still love calling New Zealand home.
When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me hanging out on the beach with my family, doing kickboxing, trying my hands at gardening or scouring op shops for some cool retro stuff to add to my already vast collection at home! My aim is to add running and learning Spanish or French to this list too!
My photography style can be described as a combination between documentary wedding photography and contemporary portraits, and is all about telling your story. I take a gentle, unobtrusive approach and everything I shoot is as honest and natural as possible. I love to document real moments and emotions, and all the little details that make memories so precious. I want you to look back at the images in the years to come and be transported back to how you felt. After all, the most important relationships are the ones you have with the people you love. That is what I want my images to reflect.
Aside from wedding photography, I also do engagement photography, family photography and commercial product photography.
Even though my interest in photography was born many years ago, it wasn’t until I became a mum that I decided to follow my dream and become a photographer. It was absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made, and it has to be one of the best jobs in the world too – there are not many places where you can be surrounded by so much fun, laughter and love, all bunched up in one amazing (and sometimes crazy) day!
If you like what you see, I would love to hear from you!
