Waimauku Wedding | Katey & Waz
Katey and Waz came over from Australia to get married on Katey’s sister’s farm in Waimauiku.
It was one the of the most laid back and beautiful weddings, and all their nephews and nieces were a big part of their day. They were all in the bridal party and got to walk Katey down the aisle. Perhaps it wasn’t so much a walk down the aisle as a procession, where Katey, along with her dad, bridesmaids and the children all walked down together to the waiting groom and guests. It had a boho kind of Mama Mia feel to it, absolutely beautiful!
The ceremony was very intimate and relaxed where their guests got to enjoy a drink while watching them saying their I do’s. It was followed by a just as relaxed reception in the marquee, where Katey and her sisters had done a fantastic job of decorating it with the same laid back boho feel to it. And while the guests were mingling, we headed off, chilly bin in hand, for some photos around the farm with the somewhat crazy bridal party making for some great laughs.
Upon returning back at reception, the newlyweds were treated to a live performance by their niece and brother-in-law as the sun was setting on their day.
What a stunning day, thank you so much Mr and Mrs Baldwin for having me along xx
